A very charming print of a lady playing tennis by Louis Icart. The print beares his signature in pencil in lower right with a ‘No. 30’ in lower left corner within the plate mark.
Icart was born in Toulouse, France. From an early age onwards, he showed an interest in drawing and fashion. Very quickly, he became famous for his sketches whilst working for major fashion design studios. His etchings became synomynous for the Art Deco period.
